The painting holidays and art workshops take place in the Masseria Veneri located between the village of Salve and the Ionian sea, one-and-a-half kilometers from each one.
The property is immersed in the heart of olive groves, and it is in its own orchard of olive trees, atttached to the 'masseria' that the working art vacation proceed.
The Masseria, a walled farmhouse, is a typical style of dwelling of the area which was useful to the landowners during the era for managing the arable lands under their authority. Those Masserias located on the hills dominating the sea had also as a function to be used as a 'relay' of transmission at the time of the attacks on the territory by the Sarrazins. A fire was then lit on the top of the towers and the villagers thus had time to seek shelter. In the same way, Rome was then advised of the attack in less than four hours.
The Masseria Veneri is a structure dating from 16th century and has been entirely restored with cure and attention by the artists themself.
