Born in 1959 in Lausanne, she completed her fine arts degree at the Geneva Ecole Supérieure d'Arts Visuels in 1989 with a diploma in sculpture. She went on to a further year's study of sculpture at the Lausanne Ecole d'Arts Visuels, and completed a teaching diploma in drawing from the Lausanne Séminaire Pedagogique.
Her works express her particular interest in human representation and in the assembly of materials. "My studies are oriented towards the ongoing metamorphosis of the human who is often masked, captured by his own memory, sometimes absorbed in himself, but always listening to and perceptive of the universe that both surrounds him and is contained within him.
The artist seeks in her art to express this transformation and the emergence of the new identity on the frontier of what is to become and the past. Her art is an inward search that connects human representation with what is eternal to it." The artist has realised an important oeuvre and has exhibited in Switzerland and elsewhere abroad. Her works are held in private collections.
